21 June, 2008 1st Day of Summer

Fly, fly fly! Shot about 200 photos this morning from the air. Is
that enough for one day? No, I guess not. Washed the airplane today,
and cleaned out the hangar. Humid today. Storm threatened but didn't pan out.

Briggs and I hunted this afternoon, but didn't find any mice or snakes. Invented a new color, named it "briggs".

Bitty joined us. Bitty doesn't care what color the dirt is, she just likes to roll in it.

Lots of wildflowers blooming; wild sweet peas, multiflora rose, dew berries (ok, so they're done blooming, just fruiting. I found enough (black ones) to eat, complete with seeds and sand. They grow close to the ground, related to blackberries, I guess.) Zinnias and marigolds are growing slowly, elephant ears are just poking out of the soil, and the trumpet vine's guarding the whole thing. Exciting, eh?

Surprise! The blueberries are ripening, I picked enough to eat (had to go get ice cream to go with them). Yum.

G'ma Airplane, 'nother perfect day in the Ozarks

Briggs looks like a giant lion or something. He's got long legs, long and lanky! LAD requests a blueberry pancake!

well, OK, maybe not a lion, but a gazelle?

I'll save blueberries for his pancake. When will LAD be here?
