22 Nov., 2008 - Deja Vu

Deja vu! Oh, here it comes, the Super D! Today it was Scott and Christy.

Scott delighted a couple of little kids with rides around the patch. What fun!

20 Nov., 2008 - Some things never change

Don's first motorcycle, about 1955 or so (?).

And Don's newest motorcycle, November 2008.

Had our Missouri Pilots' Association meeting tonight at Cajun Kettle, and not much news
today at the airport. Very quiet, except for the cold wind. Brrrr.

Watched the international space station cross the sky last night. It rose between Jupiter
and Saturn in the southwest sky, and was very bright for about five minutes before it lost
the sunshine. No photographs, just a fast moving bright light.

19 Nov., 2008 -- Bowling like a kid again

I bowled left-handed tonight. (I'm not left-handed, by the way).
Intended to just practice, but the team egged me on, and... well... can't turn down a dare!

Man, the ball seemed HUGE! Just like it must have seemed to the kids. That's Sam on her
7th in 2003, and Cam was 3. I needed Grant's help tonight.

This is the way it looked most of the time. I averaged 75 in three games. That's pitiful,
but we did win two of the four games!

18 Nov., 2008 -- Buried treasure

Buried in that old green plastic bucket along with the long-legged strappy leaves of the
night blooming cereus, there is another variety of epiphyte, semi-cactus type bunch of
leaves that just grows, and hangs there, and once in a great while...

The blossoms are very tiny, along the edges of the leaves, odd little flowers! I'm often
tempted to get rid of the whole bucket-full of gangly go-everywhere stems and leaves, but
then the thing saves itself from oblivion. I'll decorate it with tiny Christmas ornaments
in December.

17 Nov., 2008 -- Hanging around

Don't know whether these guys are going to head south and abandon their local neighborhood ponds. If they leave, we'd better get out the snow shovels. Yesterday, we watched about a
thousand or a gazillion geese below the overcast pushing southeast by the north wind.

Took pictures of Roy's 4-point buck this morning, but took them on his new camera, so I can't post them!
