25 May, 2009 -- Colorado kids on Memorial Day

Well, not kids any more! Ann Dee, my niece, Bruce & their kid Tyler drove from Glenwood Springs, Colorado yesterday... only took them about 16 hours. They are on their way to southeast MO to spend a few days with Ty's wife & baby, and her family. Ty's on leave from the Marines this week. It's so good to see them!

Rained off & on today.

Toadie took up residence in my flower/tomato garden... and two Brown Thrashers danced around in the driveway.

24 May, 2009 -- Another rainy day

23 May, 2009 -- Rain Saturday... frogdrowner

Well, not really a frog drowner, but it did provoke this fellow to travel and take up the center of the driveway to the airport.

21 May, 2009 -- MO Pilots' Assn. meeting

Our Missouri Pilots Assn. members gathered at the EAA hangar in Willow Springs this evening, and it was really nice outside. Steve spins some tall tales for Sharon and the group.

Ray accepts the Wings traveling trophy from President Mike. We're the only chapter on it for the last five years. There are 10 more spaces to go, so get your Wings, aviators, and don't wait for March 31 to make it year 6! Ray will get pushy, and I guess that's what we need.
Notice that the old MO Mule logo is still on the plaque. We've kept the same image for our chapter, even though the State assn. has changed. We like the Mule!

Election night... Jerry takes the helm as president for 09-10.

20 May, 2009 -- Traffic conflict

National Guard doing practice landings & take-offs... Battle for right-of-way... I guess the heli won!
Randy flew the ag-truck this evening... with the new engine, a new tire... now for some jobs...

17 May, 2009 -- Did not rain last night!

Well, blow me down... no rain last night. Sunshine! No hint of blue yet.
The clover's ready, lots of haying going on.

Lloyd & Randy are changing out the engine on the Ag Truck.

Night blooming cereus is going to bloom, it will look like Juanita's. Only found one bud so far.

16 May, 2009 -- Rained again last night

Airplane landed today... emergency, just happened to be over the airport when he lost a valve. Been there, done that! So now the guys have a new project.

This afternoon, mucked out more of the darkroom... wet boxes, wet floor, wet everything.

Used my large 24x30 darkroom trays that haven't been used in about 8 years. They are catching drips from the ceiling. Got a dehumidifier set up, hopefully pull the moisture out of my old teacher's desk.

14th & 15th May, 2009 -- Cam's concert, Ralph's award

Cameron at the Yamaha on the 14th. He soloed "Malaguena" at Cedar Hill Elementary School in Jefferson City. He designed the cover for his personal music cd. That's a king's crown, and a music stand, and very long piano fingers!

The Peanut Gallery... Grant, Sam, Devon, friend Jack, and Kelly. Friend Chuck was at the other end of the row getting pictures from another perspective.

Cameron signs the program... it might someday be valuable!

Ralph received an award for English improvement, at the same time as Cam's concert. Ralph goes to Simonsen Middle School.
Sure was a nice sunset as we walked home from Cam's school.
It's only about 6 blocks, uphill both ways.

And today, this little fellow (well, he isn't so little) was waiting on the patio chair for us to come home. Tree frog, I thought at first that it was a leaf stuck there.

Grant and Cameron bicycling to school this morning. Uphill both ways.
