So do you have post holes in your deck?
Yes. Right in front of the door, about 4 feet. Ya get used to it.
Better than having the roof in the yard! The house is darker inside, too. No more sun for the kitchen table. Ya get used to it.
It's kinda like in the animal kingdom. Some species have their bones inside the skin, like humans; some have their support outside, such as crawdads and lobsters.
