August, 2014 (almost) -- Doin' the airplane thing

OSH. That's Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The world's largest fly-in. Experimental Aircraft Association.
Fonda and LAD and I spent the last of July camping a few days at OSH.

His favorite thing, besides getting a helicopter ride with Mommy!

Riding on the back of the Gator was fun! Delivering aviation oil to the campground.

July 20, 2014 -- Happy Birthday, Grant

Where were you July 20, 1969?

45 years ago, Apollo 11 landed on the Moon!  Exactly a year before Grant was born!

July 15, 2014 -- Happy Birthday, Fonda

My baby turns (40 something) today. I won't give it away, but it isn't hard to figure it out.
As babies go, she was the perfect child. She still is. Of course! So, at 4 p.m., Happy Birthday, Fonzy!

July 1968, about two weeks old. Such a sweetie.

Fonda made her own birthday cake. This was July, 1974. This isn't the picture I wanted to post, but I couldn't find it; she was painting the counter with chocolate pudding, and also painted her face. and body. and then grinned for the camera. But that was two years earlier.

July 13, 2014 -- Late night light show

Rumbled through the area about 11 p.m., made lots of noise and lit up the sky.

Raindrops on the lens made smudges.

July 12, 2014 -- Same old moon

Same old full moon as Cinco de Mayo, Friday the 13th in June. July 12... no particular significance, but it's a spectacular sight after it drifts up through the misty clouds. I never cease to amaze at that full moon that we all take for granted. It is so wonderful, that it comes around on schedule! And it is so beautiful!

Some people have issues with the full moon, go crazy, it's spooky... not me... I love it!

July 10, 2014 -- Mtn. Grove Square, such a huge gap

The debris from two businesses that were here is finally gone. A crew finished cleaning out the debris today, salvaging some bricks from the wall that separated Tri-County Screen Printing (formerly Brown's Hardware) and Meadowbrook Natural Foods.

Two businesses burned on May 26, 2014. Meadowbrook Natural Foods and Tri-County Screen Printing, formerly Brown's Hardware. On May 27, another fire a few blocks away destroyed a former O'Reilly building houseing Little Billy's Towning.

July 4, 2014 -- Fireworks, of course!

This volunteer sunflower was magnificent in the setting sun, so I made it my early fireworks splash for the 4th. The winter birds planted my flower garden for me!
