24 Oct., 2008 -- Got my computer back!

Retrieved my pc from Springfield, after it traveled to Houston, Texas for repair. It was minor, just an elusive overheating problem. Now, I need to find an elusive vacant space to insert it back into the system. The "stuff" expands to fill the space available.

23 Oct., 2008 -- In the dump, er... landfill

We have a landfill, which will some day become a runway! Lots of texture in these RR timbers.


















Old hickory tree in the fenceline, more textures. It's a Halloween tree. You'll see, in time.

22 Oct. 2008 -- Arabian colts

Had to work today. Made a couple of short movies of Arabian colts, added music, burned
dvds and printed out inserts for the cases.

21 Oct., 2008 -- Playing with pictures

Mowed again around the pond, shot some random flowers that haven't succumbed to the cold nights (40's). Then, in a fit of "aha! AD-OS, I played with the filters in Photoshop.

Any picture has some abstract quality, and it doesn't have to be perfectly focused. The wind was blowing, the sky was gray. This is where digital has the advantage over film, it is so FAST, compared to spending hours and $$ in the darkroom!

Yeah, I can play with THAT, yeah... It's a CAT, right?

Well, I'll play with THAT cat instead.

19 Oct., 2008 -- Supper

After a bike ride, I hiked through the pasture to the little pond. The sprouts of bamboo that 'Nother One Grandma and I planted back in 2000 have really grown this year.

Caught two eatin'-sized bluegills and two throw-back bass. Blast, now I have to cook them. Granny-cat from across the road helped me clean them, crunch crunch.
