Big storm, big wind, big lights. Knocked down trees, knocked out power
all over south central MO., brought welcome rains.


After mounting the U.S. map on the office wall, LAD placed markers of Mom's flight that began at 6 this morning at Springfield with a stopover in Atlanta. We forgot to update it this afternoon at her final destination. That will give us something to do in the morning. And we will put a couple up in Iowa for Dad, and in Marshall for G'pa Airplane.

John was a flight of one RV this morning, heading for Willow Springs to the EAA meeting and breakfast.










I found this nest out in the pasture in some leftover hay after the crew had cut and baled. I was hoping it was a quail nest, but quail eggs are more creamy to brownish, not quite so white. A couple of days later, the eggs were hatched, nest abandoned, covey of five meadowlarks had taken flight.


The old rock jail is the History and Arts Center, and it's going to be on the National Register of Historic Places.

Cleaning, putting, moving; there are no cooking tools in that apron. Pliers, hammer, screw driver... Hey, Diane, ya got a pair of scissors? Well, of course!
