27 Oct., 2009 -- Search and Rescue in Colorado

My niece Jody, in western Colorado, is on a Search and Rescue team.
They were hunting for more clues in a morbid homicide case that happened
in June. These photos were from a couple of news clips.


When I asked Jody about this next photo, she replied:

I was mortified because Dessa just ate the evidence!!!!!!

 Just kidding!!!!  She had shook her head and splattered me with
who knows what....slobber, bear *&^%^, mud and probably horse apples.
Yum.Yum.

 Dare to call me a priss now!!!!!

Missouri Pilots Association Third Annual Poker Run.
After two postponements this fall,
we finally got it OFF THE GROUND!
And the fall colors are spectacular, as are.....

The planes... aaah, da planes, da planes!


The flying... aaah, that's the real thing! Four hours, nine airports!


The winners... aaah, the game!


The workers on the ground... aaah, somebody's gotta do it!


Late in the day, late in October...

Geocashing in sgf... Didn't find the goodies in this park, but did find flowers still in bloom on National Ave. Found one more cache near the mall, left an ag plane pin. Hmmm, the mall... Hmmm...

21 Oct., 2009 -- It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a door!

Planning... yeah, it might just become a DOOR!

Oh, NO, Benny, you can't fly from up there!
Buzzards competing for one end of the runway...

And geese flying off the other! There are a few white ones mixed
in to that flock of about a hundred. I hope they are migrating on out!

Finally getting some work done, prepping the hangar for new doors.



Sparks were flying everywhere!



High School buddy from Colorado! I got to be a reckless fast skier chasing Eddie, who always seemed to have a broken leg and could ski better on one good leg and a short ski on his cast than the rest of us on two legs. He and brother Bud were on their way through Missouri to see another brother in Indiana. They spent a couple of days in Douglas County with G'pa Allen.
Such a good guy, and he shoots with a Nikon!
