16 Dec., 2008 -- The snow that didn't

The view down Campbell (Bass Pro on the right) this morning. SGF dodged the snow last night, but it was foggy and misty and colllllld all day.

Tomorrow I'll get a real picture. I asked, "OK, is that all there is to it?" Tim the tech said, "Yep, 10 quality minutes with the million dollar machine".

15 Dec., 2008 -- Doors - another photo theme?

After I pried open the VW doors this morning, I found a bottle of hard water. SGF had about an inch of icesleetsnow last night.


This is for LAD. Inside the doors of the cafeteria hangs this "rug" sort of thing. I have a discount card for "hospital food" this week.

Maybe I won't have to pry the VW doors open in the morning, expecting 2 inches of snow.

14 Dec., 2008 - Another beginning

Rain, and sleet ice snow by morning. Continuing all week.
So, to start this new chapter, I've relocated temporarily to Springfield.
Two nights in a motel, then into a hospitality room at St. John's, probably through Friday.

I really like the view better at home! (However, this IS right across the street from Bass Pro. And there's Starbuck's. And the Arches. Hmmm.)

13 Dec., 2008 -- Christmas, a little early

Jared and Lad visited with Santa at the YMCA pancake breakfast this morning.

Then, Oma Bruni, Aunt Sus and Mommy, LAD and G'ma Airplane trekked all over Silver Dollar City this afternoon. They really go all out with the light show after dark.

Christmas a little early tonight. LAD was the delivery elf.

12 Dec., 2008 -- LAD's party, a day late

LAD turned 3 on Thursday, but we partied tonight.

I watched the deer munch on the new grass at the airport this evening, and then the
brightest moon of the year caught our attention.

Gold in the sunset, gold in the moon. We really are rich, aren't we?

Happy Birthday, LAD! You are 3 now, not 10. So you only get 3 spankings, not 10. LAD's at my house, and I'm in Muskogee, Oklahoma. But I'll be home tomorrow and we'll PARTY!

9 Dec., 2008 -- Senior night at Cajun Kettle

Connie always plays the part as she waits tables! The crowd was very light tonight, with
the cold wind spraying icy misty rain out there.

Millie and the rest of the bunch entertain with fiddlin' 'n pickin'.

8 Dec., 2008 -- Ok, it's SGF, if you didn't know

Sue guessed it, Fonda googled it... Yesterday's picture was the new Springfield terminal. This is the old terminal. There's the Wright Flyer! See it? I think it's still hanging in the old terminal over the ticket counters. I don't know when it will be moved into the new terminal across the runway. Our EAA Chapter helped build it to celebrate the 100th anniversary of flight in 2003. It really did fly in January 2004, at Willow Springs.
